Bio

I help livestock and animal nutrition companies turn genomic and multi-omics data into actionable strategies that drive genetic gain, productivity, and sustainability. With over a decade of experience in animal genetics, biotechnology, and data science, I bridge molecular research with commercial application to deliver measurable improvements in breeding and nutrition programs.

I hold a B.Sc. in Veterinary Medicine, an M.Sc. in Animal Breeding & Reproduction Biotechnology, and a Ph.D. in Animal Production (Cum Laude). My career spans academic and industry roles in Europe and Latin America, building expertise at the intersection of genomics, bioinformatics, and applied animal science.

At Wageningen University & Research, I contributed to large-scale international projects like OPTIBOV and IMAGE, delivering tools and datasets now used by breeders, nutritionists, and industry partners worldwide. As co-founder of DataOmics, I provided tailored genomic and multi-omics solutions for clients in livestock, feed, and biotech sectors — from variant discovery to epigenetic profiling.

In my current role as Molecular Genomics Researcher at CRV B.V., I integrate variant discovery, population genomics, and advanced analytics into breeding and nutrition strategies, enhancing herd performance, health, and feed efficiency. My work ensures innovations in genetics and nutrition move from lab to farm with speed, precision, and industry impact.
